Support throughout the evolution of our client’s needs
Yvelines (78) – Hauts-de-Seine (92)
The territory is irrigated by major traffic arteries and comprises a total of 1,070 traffic light junctions; 717 in the Hauts-de-Seine and 353 in the Yvelines; the mission of the Etablissement Public Interdépartemental is to modernise and develop its entire network.
A market historically started with the Hauts-de-Seine department, it was extended to the Yvelines department following the creation of the Etablissement Public Interdépartemental.
Technologies Nouvelles continues to adapt and support the departments to improve the safety and fluidity of travel on the constantly changing territory.
For more than 10 years, Technologies Nouvelles has been assisting the Etablissement Public Interdépartemental (Yvelines and Hauts-de-Seine) in the optimisation of traffic flows on its territory.
More than ten years ago, the Hauts-de-Seine department entrusted our teams with the renovation and adaptation of the facilities on its territory. 10 years later, we are still at their side… with a larger scope and committed to a strong dynamic of evolution.
Technologies Nouvelles, an expert in traffic control and supervision, has the human, material and technological capacity to support the Etablissement Public Interdépartemental for several years by adapting its solutions to the transformations of its territory.
The objectives of this contract are:
- Ensure better traffic control
- Optimise fluidity
- Improving safety
- Communicate with partners
Technologies Nouvelles on the territory of the Establishment Public Interdepartmental is a supervision and control on:
- More than 870 items of equipment in the field:
- 641 traffic light controllers, out of 850 traffic light intersections
- 24 message signs
- 125 measuring stations
- 12 rotating counting stations
- 73 cameras
Armed with strong engineering expertise and state-of-the-art technologies, our teams are able to indicate the state of the traffic in real time, through centralised regulation of the traffic according to the traffic conditions.
A mobility observatory.
The Central Traffic Control Station, named SITER2, set up by our teams allows us to observe no less than:
- 1,128 counting points (signal-controlled junctions, counting stations, measuring stations)
- 703 travel time sections (with trafficolor) including about 30 Floating Car Data*.
With those equipments in the field and access to the Symart software solution from Technologies Nouvelles, the territory has the capacity to observe the evolution of traffic on its territory over time, and on specific routes.
Symart, a control and supervision software for traffic lights, adapts to the new needs of mobility, and allows a better management of multimodal traffic: with a centralised management of dynamic equipment and all modes of travel.
The counting data collected in real time with the Symart software solution allows the Etablissement Public Interdépartemental to broadcast traffic information in real time to its traffic information partners.
This data can thus be used to optimise transport offers (pedestrians, bicycles, light vehicles, heavy goods vehicles, public transport, motorised two-wheelers) and design infrastructure projects (redevelopment of roads, creation of bicycle lanes, protected sites for public transport, etc.).
With a heart to accompany its customers on a daily basis, the teams of Technologies Nouvelles have been able to observe, collect and thus anticipate the needs of the Etablissement Public Interdépartemental 78/92.
A few milestones since the beginning of our collaboration:
- Move to Boulogne-Billancourt in 2010
- Connection of the T6 tramway line in 2016
- Move to Nanterre in 2017
- Merger of the traffic light controllers of the 92 and 78 departments in 2018
- Remote monitoring of controllers via the 4G network in 2019
- Addition of FCD* data collection in 2020
Our teams also intervene at any time on the equipment for maintenance or evolution needs in order to ensure an optimal functioning of the system and meet the needs of the PPE.
Our comprehensive knowledge of the territory but also of its facilities and habits, our capacity to adapt to the needs and developments of our client (with a rather large size), and finally the evolution of our tools; allow us to accompany the departments of Yvelines and Hauts-de-Seine in the optimisation of the traffic flows on the territory.
The Technologies Nouvelles teams once again demonstrated strong agility and adaptability, which our client appreciated. Our offer is scalable in terms of size and functionality, and adapts to the current and future needs of the 78/92 Interdepartmental Public Establishment.
